Question & Answer
1) Q:How Did You Get Into the Detailing Industry?
In 2022, I stumbled into the detailing industry kind of by accident. I quit my job at the time in chase of an apprenticeship as a diesel mechanic, but as the start date approached, the door for that opportunity closed before I could walk through it. Luckily, I wasn't left hung out to dry, because at that moment, I was given the opportunity to detail the used trucks that the company bought from the auctions. I wasn't given much equipment to detail, so I had to make do with what I had, purchase my own supplies, and build systems to become more efficient along the way. This is where I first had the vision of owning my own detailing company.

2) Q:What Led You to Pursue Entrepreneurship?
I've always had a vision of building, owning, and running a business. I grew up with a quite a wide imagination, constantly found new ways to get my hands dirty, and always had a passion for improving systems. I feel like stepping into entrepreneurship is a challenge that lets me express the parts of me that make me who I am. Honestly I just didn't expect it to happen so soon. In early 2023, while still working as a truck detailer, I first saw the vision of what is now Go Crazy Auto Cleansing, INC. But at that point in my life I didn't have the courage to bring my ideas to life. There's been many ideas for businesses or products that I've let go undiscovered because I believed you needed to have wealth and connections in order to start a business. But I later grew to realize that all you need is some faith and determination. So one day when Anthony presented the idea of starting a detailing business together, I pushed the fear of failure to the side and said, "Bet, let's do it."

3) Q:What Does Quality Detailing Mean to You?
Put simply, the customer should feel like their car was brought back to life. We obviously want to return the car in better condition than how we got it. But it really boils down to the effort of the detailer themself. You can teach anybody how to clean a car, but a detailer needs to go miles beyond that in order to get the results we expect. Is the detailer moving their body into positions to put their eyes on the area they're cleaning? Is the detailer being mindful of the material they're cleaning and choosing the right products, equipment, techiniques, and amounts of pressure to safely detail the area without causing damage? Does the detailer rush to get the job done, or will they spend extra times in tougher areas to ensure high-quality results? These are the questions you should ask in order to determine wether someone is giving you a 'quality detail' or just cleaning your car.

4) Q:What's Your Favorite Part of the Job?
Honestly, there's a few pretty cool parts of the job that I enjoy. Like seeing the different features of a variety of different cars/trucks, seeing the reaction from our customers when they take the first look at their newly cleansed vehicle, and working with my best friend. But if I had to pick a favorite, it'd probably be the ability to enter my own little oasis. I've always been somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to my work. Detailing creates an environment where I can capitalize off of the perfectionism, and fully immerse myself in my work. When I get in the zone I don't need music or conversation, I just find peace in the sounds of foam fizzing and brushes scrubbing.

5) Q:If Someone Has Never Had Their Vehicle Professionally Detailed, How Would You Market Your Services to Them?
It's all about protecting your assets. Detailing is much more than 'glorified car cleaning.' It's a highly recommended step to maintain the condition of your vehicle. The products and techniques we use are specifically designed to restore and offer longevity to your vehicle. Decontaminating your car's surface prevents the contaminants from eating away at your paint. Removing dirt, debris, or spills from your carpets/seats/upholstery will keep the fibers of your fabrics healthy while preventing the spread of mold/bacteria. Cleaning grime/debris off your panels will prevent sunfading and UV damage. If you add detailing your vehicle to your maintenance routine, you'll not only have a clean car, but you'll maintain the condition and resale value of your vehicle.
